David Otto Okinga from northern Uganda is the lucky winner of RX Radio’s brand new 32 Hisense LED Flat Screen TV that the station had pledged to give to customers that subscribed to its Podcasts.
David was announced during Thursday’s The Fatboy Show after the show’s Presenter James Onen aka Fatboy and Olive Najjuma made a draw to pick from hundreds of listeners that participated by subscribing to the podcasts from the 20th of January to 20th of February 2021 for the one-year subscription.
According to the Proprietor RX Radio, James Onen aka Fatboy, the station decided to award it’s listeners as a way of saying thank you for the support but also encourage them to subscribe to the Podcasts that are now exclusive to paying customers.
“We congratulate David for emerging winner in this lucky draw, we encourage our listeners to continue subscribing to our podcasts to support us but also enjoy great conversations from our shows,” Fatboy said during Thursday’s show.
After receiving the news, David who is currently in South Sudan for a business trip said, “I did not think I was going to win. I subscribed because I love the shows and some time miss to listen directly from the radio so having access to the podcasts is crucial for me. Thank you very much, I am very excited,” he said.
RX Radio was launched in August 2020 as a unique modern radio station targeting Ugandans that have access to the internet, those in the diaspora and the expatriate community. Early this year, RX Radio started publishing Podcasts on its website which have been made exclusive to subscribed customers. The Podcasts contain the most interesting bits from the shows that are aired on RX Radio.
