Lesham: I’d Only Take The Menopausal Pills To Maintain My Libido

As a way of promoting a healthy life for women and reducing the life threatening associated conditions that come with menopause, a group of medical scientists known as Gameto are focusing on lengthening the time frame within which a woman experiences menopause, making it easier for them to bear children in their later years.

While discussing this topic on The Fatboy Show, RX Radio Presenter Lesham said that having considered hysterectomy; an operation that involves the surgical removal of the uterus, she came to a realization that the physiological burden which comes with the procedure such as hot and cold flashes, mood swings among other side effects, were more worrying than those brought by menopause.

However, with the new developments from Gameto focusing on solving the effects brought about by menopause such as reduced libido, bone weakness, vaginal dryness, and health risks such as high blood pressure, bad cholestrol and increased risk of breast cancer to name a few, Lesham said she would consider the medication- not for child bearing in her later years, but for her sexual apetite.

“I'm still thinking about a hysterectomy because I am not super excited about the monthly crime scene but now that I know there could be a solution to both menopause and reduced sex drive, I’ll take the medication to increase my libido. But I cannot have a menstrual cycle until I am 80. I cannot!” She emphasized.

James Onen aka Fatboy on the contrary said that the development might not come as good news to a lot of men who are happy that menopause reduces their wives libido, saying “If your wife is still very sexually excited, then that means that even at 60, she could be sneaking out to meet some dudes.”

However, Lesham was thankful for the ongoing development, saying that women would be able to have just as much fun as men even in their later years.

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, Sarah and Lesham every weekday from 6am to 10am on RX Radio.
