According to RX Radio Presenter Fatboy, the state of affairs in the United States are paving the way for the Republicans to assume the presidential seat in 2024.
During The Fatboy Show today morning, Fatboy mentioned that with the economic and political challenges currently being faced under the Biden administration, the Republicans have been handed a ready manifesto to use against the Democrats in the next election.
“The economy is in a bad shape. Inflation is skyrocketing, fuel prices are insane and now the US is teetering on the brink of the third World War. So any candidate who is to stand against Joe Biden will simply have to say ‘Vote for me and I will keep us out of World War 3, fix the economy and reduce gas prices.’ Whoever will be the Republican front runner is going to have a very easy time,” Fatboy said.
His Co-host Olive Najjuma added that the most likely front runner may be Donald Trump who during his presidential tenure managed to keep the two opposite powers at peace, despite various accusations of being fascist.
The duo derived the conversation from President Museveni’s comment on the Ukrainian invasion which he said has exposed the double standards of the United States.
"I was there when U.S. President John F. Kennedy almost went to war over the Cuba missile crisis. Russians have been worried about some NATO activities. You hear some people say Ukraine is a sovereign country, but Cuba was a sovereign country too, but U.S. President Kennedy objected to the deployment of Soviet missiles there. So you find a lot of double standards," Museveni said in an interview.
Fatboy commended the President’s statements, saying that he knew that the US was not to be trusted in its peacekeeping strategies.
He added that since the reign of George W Bush and the coming of Obama, it was assumed that the US had ceased having such “aggressive foreign policies” yet it now seems they have resorted to exercising them once again.
The Presenter further speculated that the next US president might be Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the States. Olive in her opinion thought of Kari Lake, a former Phoenix News anchor and Republican politician that might potentially stand in opposition against Donald Trump and could gather significant support in the next election.
