To Become Fulfilled, Pursue What You Truly Want - Kalaki Brian

Behavioral psychologist and news anchor Kalaki Brian has advised the public to pursue their dreams as the only thing that will bring self fulfillment.

“Everyone is different, you are fanchible, there’s no one like you or one that will ever be like you. So you need to find yourself and find your real essence. Who you are, what makes you tick, what makes you happy, unhappy, what you want to be in this world and where you want to be” he said.

“When you find those things, pursue them because everyone wants you to be what they want you to be. Your parents, government, boss, they all want you to be something that you may not agree with. Pursue that which YOU want because that is what will make you unique, it will make you fulfilled and it's what will make you pleased with yourself,” Kalaki added.

He shared these affirmations while chatting with Crystal Newman on the Groove Café. "When one pursues their dreams, it makes them proud of their lives," he said.

Kalaki was speaking from experience. As a person who aspired to be a news anchor, he never pursued anything related to the field while at University.

After his high school education, the now SEE TV news anchor said he wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s in Journalism but was offered a government sponsorship to do Business Administration which he opted for.

At the same time, he pursued a diploma in Behavioral psychology at the Indian Institute of Technology which inspired his blog https://brianselfwork.com/ that talks about doing inner work as opposed to blaming one's environment for their misfortunes.

During his high school, Kalachi narrated being part of the writers club which would write news for the school and this stirred his passion and desire for Broadcast Journalism.

During the 2020 lockdown, he decided to use the time to practice. He recorded demos that he sent to different Television Stations and eventually landed an opportunity at SEE TV.

Kalachi is currently a news anchor and a behavioral psychologist.

The Groove Cafe with Crystal Newman airs every Weekday from 4-5pm on RX Radio.
