RX Radio Presenter Olive Najjuma has criticized the Electoral Commission (EC) over what she calls unbelievable statistics in the just concluded general election.
According to official results published by the EC on their website, President Yoweri Museveni who was one of the candidates that participated in the 2021 general election that was held on the 14th January 2021 got 100% of all cast votes in areas like Kiruhura and Isingiro in western Uganda.
“It’s impossible for a particular candidate to get 100% of all votes in an area. There were a lot of discrepancies that make all of us doubt the results from this election,” she said during the Monday Fatboy show.
President Museveni was announced the winner of the just concluded election with over 58% against his closest challenger Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Party who got 35%.
Kyagulanyi has today officially filed a case in the high court to challenge the results which he says were highly rigged. He wants the Court to nullify the results of the election.
Olive’ co-host James Onen aka Fatboy said that although there are some inconsistences in some areas, it does not mean that the final result would have been different.
