According to Olive Najjuma, The RX Radio presenter, women emotionally detach themselves from a relationship before they physically quit.
She made the disclosure during the Monday morning Fatboy Show with co-host James Onen aka Fatboy in an attempt to answer the question of,”why women move on faster when a relationship ends.”
“The reason why women move on so fast after a relationship is because by the time we physically break up with you, say it was a long term relationship, we had broken up with you like two years prior. When you have been dating a woman for a long period of time and she stops nagging you about the things she used to, for instance if you used to go out with the boys and she often threw a tantrum then but now she stopped,” she said.
She explained that women usually like having conversations about what disturbs them in a relationship yet men try to keep away from them as much as possible hence prompting women to detach themselves slowly till they end the relationship.
But Fatboy responded that, most times women won't tell their partners that they have lost interest in them but rather the man finds out for himself through their change of behaviour.
However, he also noted, “If a man that is sufficiently experienced can read the signs, a woman need not to tell you that she’s losing interest. You can just tell from the way she talks and looks at you. The problem is that guys usually take a lot of these signs for granted but you need to pay attention.”
He advised men to look out for the dressing and body language of their partner. “If you notice that she’s not making that much of an effort to look nice, that means that she’s probably losing interest. The other way you'll know is when she is going somewhere with expectations of meeting someone she likes, you'll see her wear the perfect clothing, in a perfect style.” Fatboy said.
Olive herself admitted that when she gets into a new relationship, she will shop a lot of clothes, and will already be imagining the compliments she will be getting from her new catch.
