During The Fatboy Show today, Fatboy commented on how presenting on radio is a job that he enjoys and helps to keep him fit.
Together with Lehsam, the RX Radio presenters were talking about the three hobbies that keep people fulfilled in life. The first being income generating, the second as keeping one creative and the third for staying fit and in shape.
“What I do is a job that stemmed from a hobby that I took to create a business enterprise. Being and working on radio is my hobby. It's also keeping me fit unintentionally because of the stress of work, the long hours and forgetting to eat,” he jokingly said. Lesham, on the other hand, mentioned how ‘bedroom hobbies’ keep her in shape and how she intends to add them to her fitness regime.
On the other hand, Fatboy also recognised how social media has given people an opportunity to turn their hobbies into jobs and find a market for their products and services such as painters, music artists, filmmakers and dancers.
“I feel like the era has been transformed into a gig economy and changed from office type of work to where people are now being paid for the creative talents that they possess,” he stated.
Nonetheless, the two recognised that the conventional ‘9-5’ job types pay the bills on time compared to a hobby which needs a lot of time and patience before it can become profitable.
