Following the 20th wedding anniversary celebrations of Odrek Rwabwogo and Patience Kokundeka Museveni last weekend, The Fatboy show presenter James Onen reckoned that the President’s children seem to have mastered the art of marriage.
On Saturday, the first family, gathered to commemorate their children for the 20 years spent in marriage in Kiruhura district together with close friends and relatives.
“Say what you want about the children of the President, but when it comes to marriage, they seem to know what to do,” Fatboy commented.
“His son and daughters have been married for long without any issues. That cannot be said for most families today where either everyone is divorced, unmarried, or has something crazy is going on,” he added.
His co-presenter Olive Najjuma was cynical about the strings that have made the President’s children hold down their marriages.
She asked Fatboy if he would have the guts to divorce the president's daughter in case he married any of them.
“Well, probably not, Fatboy answered, adding, “It wouldn't make sense in so many ways, My worry would be that not many people would be happy with the fact that I divorced. Secondly, this family wields tremendous power and controls the economy to a very significant degree. If I decided to start my anew, who knows? I might get more phone calls from the URA than any other person.” he joked.
Nonetheless, he had no doubt that the couple was genuinely happy, seeing from the photographs captured during the ceremony.
Olive congratulated the couple on the milestone reached saying, “I'm not reigning on their marriage parade, I mean, it is a thing to keep a marriage for 20 years, but I'm also thinking, that's not a family where you walk away, ever,” Olive concluded.
The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, and Sarah every weekday from 6 am to 10 am on RX Radio.
