Fatboy: Bobi Wine Needs To Tame His Supporters Rowdiness

Morning show presenter James Onen aka Fatboy has asked Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine to tame the emotions of his supporters or face defeat in the next coming general elections.

The Presenter gave the advice following a recent rivalry between National Unity Platform supporters and Besigye’s new pressure group, the People’s Front for Transformation which comprises six political parties. Dr. Kizza Besigye recently reached out to Bobi Wine requesting him to make a public statement concerning a ceasefire, to which the NUP leader hasn’t yet responded to.

“NUP supporters seem to have a lot of anger and emotions that they aren’t shy to publicise in their quest for political relevance. I have warned before that this would end badly if they kept on letting emotions replace civil dialogue and diplomatic means of expressing disagreement. It means on assumption of power, they will direct the same emotions to other opposition political targets and subdue them.” Fatboy commented.

Olive, the Co-host of the show, said that NUP supporters think that every opposition member has to rally behind their leader and view those not for them as being against them.

“This shows that NUP’s intentions are different because why would they be turning against fellow opposition members, who literally are the people they should be working with to oust the NRM government! This is an indication that when NUP assumes power, they will immediately throw out other opposition members that they can't agree with and become the new oppressors,” said Olive.

Fatboy advised that NUP and it’s leaders ought to change their political approach if they are to win power or else the incumbent government will take advantage of these loopholes and re-assume power.

He went on to say, “Bobi Wine needs to come out and publicly put an end to the rowdy behaviour expressed by his supporters because the more these fractures widen, the easier they are making a smooth road for the next NRM front runner to swiftly run through them and assume presidency in the next general election.”

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy and Olive Najjuma every weekday from 6am to 10am on RX Radio.
