Fatboy: Some Women Prefer Abusive relationships

According to Fatboy, some women prefer being in violent relationships instead of choosing to be with men who genuinely love and care for them.

The RX Radio Presenter made these remarks during the Fatboy Show while co-hosting it with Olive Najjuma. The subject of conversation was derived from a man who is now on the run after stabbing his father to death while trying to help his mother during a fight she was having with her husband.

According to the Uganda Times, the tragedy happened on Tuesday night at around 9pm when Muhammad Nsubuga, aged 45 was cut on the neck by his son Abdallakim Nsubuga, sustaining a big wound that made him die on his way to seek treatment in a nearby clinic.

Speaking on the incident, Fatboy said that many men get disappointed when dating women who have previously been with violent partners because they don't seem to appreciate the peace and lack of drama in the new relationship.

“Majority of men will share stories of women from abusive relationships whom they offered to sincerely love, care and cause no harm to, only to later find out that these women eventually return back to their abusive exes.”

He argued that these are the hardest women to steal from other men as compared to the ones

being treated well by their boyfriends, who strangely are easier to entice because of their desire to explore new experiences.

“Meanwhile in an abusive relationship, she experiences too much excitement not necessarily positive but because it causes emotional turmoil and gives her a sense of taming a wild beast whenever this guy apologises or becomes kind to her. Basically, it gives her a sense of satisfaction,” he explained.

However, Olive argued that most men in abusive relationships are narcissists who tend to make women entirely dependent and believe that they can't survive without them. She said these men usually cut the woman off from her family and work and if they have children, he will not let her leave with them, forcing the woman to stay even when it's abusive.

The Fatboy show is hosted by James Onen aka Fatboy, Olive, Sarah and Lesham every weekday from 6am to 10am on RX Radio.
